We are currently working on a bulky waste diversion trial in the north of the district to reduce the amount of waste sent to incineration and to help improve residents’ access to low cost furniture and home appliances. The Benjamin Foundation repairs and resells items through their store on Haddenham Road in Lowestoft. Residents can book free collections of good quality items directly with the Benjamin Foundation through their website Furniture Donation – Lowestoft. |
Due to regulatory changes, we are no longer allowed to collect upholstered seating (e.g. sofas, beanbags, chairs) at the same time as other items, unless they are immediately sent for incineration. This means that we may have to arrange to clear your items in two collections. Please bear with us as we optimise this new service. |
Items need to be put out by 6am on the day of collection on the boundary of your property so that its visible for crews to collected. Placement of the bulky waste must also avoid obstructing pavement or footpaths. If you live in a flat, please ensure item/s for collection are left outside the bin store.
Number of items | Price |

We cannot do one off garden waste collections as this is collected through our garden waste scheme.
This service cannot be used for removal of hazardous waste. Collection for hazardous waste can be arranged through the hazardous collection service.
