Easton Neighbourhood Plan was prepared by Easton Parish Council following consultation with the local community and is used alongside the Local Plan when making decisions on planning applications in the area.
Easton Neighbourhood Plan was formally ‘Made’ by East Suffolk on 24 July 2024.
The Neighbourhood Plan and other supporting documents can be viewed at Wickham Market Library, Resource Centre, Chapel Lane, Wickham Market, IP13 0SD and East Suffolk Council Customer Service Centre, Woodbridge Library, New Street, Woodbridge, IP12 1DT (during opening hours).
A referendum was held on Thursday 13 June 2024. Of the people who voted, 91% voted in favour of the Easton Neighbourhood Plan. The Easton Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the development plan.
The examination of the Easton Neighbourhood Plan was carried out by Independent Examiner Ann Skippers.
The below ‘Responses to Easton Neighbourhood Plan’ document was updated on 31 January 2024 to highlight the updated Environment Agency response and on 8 February 2024 to highlight the updated Anglian Water response, which are both published in the ‘Updated Responses to Easton Neighbourhood Plan’ document.
Easton Parish Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to East Suffolk Council ahead of it being submitted for independent examination. East Suffolk Council publicised the plan and invited representations between 10 November 2023 and 19 January 2024. Consultation notice.
Easton Parish Council published their pre-submission consultation (regulation 14) draft Neighbourhood Plan from 4th February to 20th March 2023.
The first stage was to designate the 'Neighbourhood Area' – the geographical area the plan will cover.
